Michael Champion joined KMG Real Estate Finance in January, 2008. Before arriving at KMG, Michael began his career in real estate finance as a Loan Processor for a family owned mortgage company in Marin.
After learning the business as a Processor, Michael earned his real estate license and began brokering real estate loans in 2005. Michael can help finance all types of real estate transactions, but particularly enjoys land and construction loans, first time homebuyers, and commercial financing.
Since arriving in Napa in 1998, Michael has been active in the community. Michael managed the AmeriCorps National Service program for Napa County during his first two years in Napa. He went on to become a meeting facilitator and educator for Napa County. He was a candidate for Mayor in the March, 2000 election and has served on the following boards and commissions:
- Napa County Grand Jury 2001
- Connoly Ranch Board of Directors 1998-2001
- Earth Day Planning Committee 1998-2005
- Chairman of the City of Napa Tree Advisory Commission 2001-present
- Leadership Napa Valley Board of Directors 2005 – present
- Second Wednesday Salon 2006 - present
While not at work, Michael enjoys cycling, swimming, and skiing. Recently, Michael and his wife Elizabeth completed a 3,400 mile self supported cycling adventure across the United States to raise money for the American Lung Association.
